My Wedding Anniversary: Also the Birth of theKbuzz

Today, July 8th, is my 2nd wedding anniversary, so it holds a special place in my heart as a husband, father, and man. But it also holds a special place in my heart as an entrepreneur, marketer and partner in a rapidly-growing buzz marketing firm, as 2 years ago today, theKbuzz was born.

I have to give my wife and business partner most of the credit- our sponsored wedding promotion, Our Field of Dreams, was mostly her idea. Not only was it an amazing day for me, because I got married to the love of my life, but it was a truly spectacular, buzz-worthy event, through which we provided an incredible ROI for our partners, the Brooklyn Cyclones, 1800-Flowers.com, Smirnoff, AfterHours Formal wear, The Shops at Atlas Park, and a dozen more, and raised nearly $20,000 for the David Wright Foundation.

That promotion was featured in traditional media as large as the New York Times, Ad Age, the CBS Early Show, and ABC World News Tonight, and in countless blogs and online chatter. The event and its success taught of the incredible value of buzz, for us and our clients, and the value of doing out-of-the-box promos, marketing programs and events.

Our Field of Dreams launched thekbuzz, which has grown in just 2 years to serve over two dozen clients, employ 5 full-time people, 25+ part times folks, and host a Buzz Patrol of over 300 strong. So 2 years later, one more thank you to all of our partners and clients who believed in us, July 8, 2006. You truly helped make our dreams come true.
