Facebook Creates Page for Non-Profits

In an effort to encourage non-profits to take advantage of the incredible capabilities Facebook has, Director of Marketing Randi Zuckerberg just created a Fan Page for Non-Profits. According to the page, over 30,000 non-profits are using Facebook Pages and the Causes application has raised over $5 million dollars. At the Page, you'll find resources, tips, and suggestions for how to maximize Facebook to recruit volunteers, raise money, deliver services, and grow your non-profit. More important, you'll find a place where fellow individuals working for and with non-profits can have a conversation about what works and what doesn't, and collectively brainstorm, as the non-profit world, just like any industry, creates and determines best practices for organizations using Facebook and social media.
