Today we're at the Social Good Conference in NYC, the culminating event for Mashable's Summer of Social Good. It's a day chock full of great speakers such as Randi Zuckerberg of Facebook and Beth Kanter, a true non-profit social media guru. Speakers are sharing tips, tools, stories and resources- all with 1 goal in mind: How to Use Social Media to affect positive social change, in America and worldwide. You can follow the livestream of the day's event here. The official charity partners are Livestrong, Oxfam America, World Wildlife Federation, and the Humane Society, but the overall message is quite clear: Social Media has very quickly become an invaluable way to any organization to do good: to raise money, gather support, host debate, find volunteers, organize for change, etc.
Every non-profit would be wise to quickly dive (deep) into social media tools, sites and resources.
