Are YOU a Likeable Fan?

Reaching this milestone got us thinking: what exactly does it mean to have 20,000 fans? As huge social media nerds, we at Likeable understand that while 20,000 fans sounds impressive, it means nothing if our fans aren’t likeable. But what exactly does it mean to be a likeable fan? What kinds of fans are brands and companies looking to attract? What kinds of fans are most valuable to a brand?

Fans that are engaged: Great, you liked our page. Now what? The relationship shouldn’t end there. A likeable fan is one that keeps coming back for more.  As a company, we want to get to know you: what you like, what you don’t like, what you want to see more of, what interests you, and how we can help you. Social media allows for multi-dimensional communication, so use it to your advantage! Post on our wall, comment on our posts, tell your stories, and tag yourselves in our pictures!

Fans that tell their friends:  Facebook is all about building and expanding your relationships, whether it’s your relationship with your best friend, your 3rd cousin, or your favorite store. If you like us, why not introduce us to your friends? We want to know that the content we post and the information we put out there is so valuable to you, that you can’t help but share it with your Facebook friends. Sharing is caring.

Fans that are loyal: We don’t just want you to like us, we want you to LOVE us. If a customer has a positive experience with a company, it is likely that he/she will come back to work with the company again. Yes, brands are always looking to attract a larger following, but returning customers are just as important to the success of a company… maybe even more! We’re in this relationship for the long haul and we hope you are too!

Based on this definition, we realized that we have a TON of Likeable fans. Who do you think is the most likeable? Well, we wondered that, too.
