In this week’s Watch Me Wednesday, I discuss an innovative breakthrough in education technology that could potentially revolutionize the way we teach and learn. Khan Academy is an online video library and software program providing students with short digital lessons and review modules. With more than 4 million users each month, entrepreneur Sal Khan’s free online academy provides a manageable way for educators and coaches to accommodate students’ various abilities.
In an interview with 60 Minutes, Sal Khan benevolently promises that he intends never to put a price tag on his lessons and educational software—which is incredibly likeable. In light of this, I’m nominating him for Most Likeable Teacher in the Likeable U Awards. What are your thoughts on what Sal Khan is doing with educational technology? Share your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to nominate!
