Facebook’s strategy is obvious: Keep users on Facebook at all costs (e.g. instant articles and now lead ads). These ads let consumers complete forms with just two taps of their mobile device. Mobile lead ads have the ability to tap into an ocean of leads for brands everywhere.
Facebook’s auto-fill feature will take care of most information entry. (It already knows a lot about you.) The additional information advertisers can request from people includes contact and demographic info, such as a phone number, email address, ZIP code, company name and job title. Advertisers will also be able to include up to three drop-down menus to solicit more information like what topics a person is interested in or how often they'd prefer to be contacted by the marketer.
