Snapchat is now the fastest growing social network. and it's getting attention from brands that previously snubbed it. But as a marketer, think beyond the buzz and ask yourself, "Does it make sense?" Should your brand be on Snapchat? Here are five facts to help you decide.

71% of Snapchat Users Are Under the Age of 35

And 45% are under 25. That means if you’re looking to target Baby Boomers or Generation X, Snapchat isn’t for your brand.

68% of Teens Use Snapchat

If you’re looking to capture the youth market, Snapchat might be a more appealing option than Facebook, which only 47% of teens claim to use.

Investing in video and investing in Snapchat should go hand-in-hand.

Wealthier Teens Are More Likely to Use Snapchat

15% of teens with a $100,000+ annual household income use Snapchat more than any other network, compared to 7% of teens with an annual household income of $30,000 or less. 

Snapchat Users Are 70% Female

This is a rough statistic cited last year by Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel. Nevertheless, consider this high female skew when making your decision.
