On Sunday, I returned from touring the ever-intriguing “Land of the Rising Sun.” Known for often being ahead of the curve technologically, Japan has an obsession with consumer electronics (seriously–if the number of faces you see buried in smartphones bothers you in your town, try Tokyo). I met up with my friend Jake, a four-year Tokyo resident, to get the lowdown on which social media platforms were most popular in Japan. 3 Ways To Further Your Brand Message On Tapestry

By Samy Simorangkir

By now, you should have heard the mantra of online marketing that “Content Is King.” A unique, interactive, and visually-appealing way to share compelling content is through the mobile app Tapestry. Users move through each “page” of a Tapestry with a finger tap on a smartphone or tablet (or a click of the mouse when viewing in a desktop browser). A key difference that sets Tapestry apart from other slide platforms like Slideshare–besides being highly mobile-friendly, of course–is the fact that there is no back button or skipping around. As a marketer, this gives you more control in the way your content is presented, without viewers completely relinquishing their freedom of how to consume it. Also, at the end of each story, there is an option to share on Facebook or Twitter, making the content highly shareable. So how should you start using Tapestry to further your brand message? Here are 3 ways:

Socialize Your Bookshelf

By Shari Donk

Ever since I received my Kindle last Christmas, I have become the ultimate book nerd. I always loved to read as a child, making frequent visits to the library, haphazardly picking up whatever books had a cool looking cover. Back then, the only way to get a book recommendation was through word of mouth, or by asking the old librarian. Today, the process of getting great book recommendations has become much more involved and much more convenient. Here are  3 ways to help figure out which book to dive into next: Continue reading
