Job Title: Social Media Analyst

Job Description: This job is to establish benchmarks, metrics and analytics for Likeable and their clients. This person will lead the project to create systems and processes in which to measure key performance indicators for clients and eventually help plan and recruit for a team to lead. The Social Media Analyst must be analytically minded and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This person must be diligent in their research as well as being efficient in completing projects. This person must also have a firm understanding of social media, different social networks, and how metrics apply in the social space. 3-5 years work experience in a reporting/analytics role is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities: This list is not mutually exclusive. Here are some of the tasks that would be expected of you.

  • Establish averages and benchmarks through compiling data from our clients.
  • Forecast and analyze the social media space and perform ongoing competitor scans on behalf of Likeable.
  • Generate and prioritize key performance indicators for clients.
  • Create a reporting model that can be implemented across various clients.
  • Identify key measurement tools and implement trainings on how to use them.
  • Publish case studies with metrics and data to support successes.
  • Set realistic projections for growth, engagement, contesting, and other metrics relevant to clients and social networks.
  • Actively contribute to the brand growth and success of Likeable.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and stay up to date in all changes in the social media space.

Skills/Knowledge: In order to be successful in this position, you need to possess certain skills/knowledge.

  • Social Media: Knowledge and understanding of social media (beyond just Facebook and Twitter) and how it benefits brands both large and small are crucial for this position.
  • Management: While you won’t necessarily be managing people, you will be managing projects and client relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Must be client-facing as well as professional through all communication mediums.
  • Tools: Must be familiar with tools such as Radian6 or other comparable reporting/listening technology.
