By Dave Kerpen In this week's Watch Me Wednesday, I had the pleasure of speaking with my good friend Laura Baum, the founder and Head Rabbi of OurJewishCommunity.org. Laura is featured in my new book, Likeable Business: Why Today's Consumers Demand More and How Leaders Can Deliver, as an advocate of corporate transparency. The Internet has made it possible to discover virtually any information on any subject imaginable. Just Google it! Companies can’t hide from this public disclosure and must adapt to the new transparent culture. Social media is the ideal platform for providing company information and can be used to facilitate open and honest relationships with consumers. Businesses can use their social pages not only to offer knowledge, but to respond frankly to customer inquiries. If the information is already out there waiting to be found, why not take the initiative and provide it first? Is your business practicing transparency? Let me know how!
